“Which inspection results actually count as passed?”

A quality team asks about the inspection pass rate and gets a fluent answer. Whether it used the definition your quality team reports — including how conditional inspections are treated — is another matter. Duodata captures that definition once, with an owner, and puts it to work in your platform.

Worked example

Inspection pass rate, two definitions

78 inspections closed last quarter; 68 passed. The pass rate depends on how conditional inspections are treated. Both numbers below are correct — for different definitions.

“What was our inspection pass rate last quarter?”

Definition A · conditionals count

68 passed ÷ 78 inspections

87.2%

Conditional inspections stay in the denominator until they are resolved.

Definition B · conditionals excluded

68 passed ÷ 72 decided inspections

94.4%

The 6 still-conditional inspections are excluded until decided.

Moving from 87.2% to 94.4% here is a changed definition, not a quality improvement. Duodata records which definition is agreed, who owns it, and when it changed — so a new number never masquerades as a better result.

Illustrative example with fictional data. Not a measured customer result.
